Week One Results~Lucky Number 7

Week one has been pretty good for everyone!  7 lbs was the number of the week.  We had several people who lost 7 lbs way to go. It is motivating to hear that everyone lost some weight this week.  Remember that any weight loss, exercise, or healthier food choices are our main goal for this challenge.  Please feel free to post comments or add a post.  Good luck Hawks Clan on week 2! Tippsy

Is anybody else starving and craving sweets?  I am; and to make matters worse its only day 2.  Hopefully with time it will get easier.  I have a little tip for all you sweet tooths out there and that is dessert delights gum.  It is only 5 calories per stick and it's delicious.  My personal favorite is key lime pie, but they also have mint cholocalte chip and strawberry shortcake.  If you haven't tried them, give them a shot.  Of course gum doesen't fill you up but it does provide a nice little sweet treat.  Posted by Melissa.

It's Time To Lose!!

Welcome to our healthy blog site.  If you are here I am guessing that you will be participating in this challenge.  We are going to have 3 categories that everyone should fall under.  1- Adult Money Pot (each adult who wants to be in competition with the others will put in $25 and the adult that looses the largest % of body fat by June 1st will win the pot.)  2- Adult non $- want to loose or just get healthier but would rather not compete.  3- all kids age of 2-8, 9-17: Points system (1 point for each 30 min+ of exercise a week, 1 point for each day they eat 3 fruits and 3 veggies) Highest point winner for each age group wins a prize at the end.  Points & % lost each week need to be emailed or texted to Nat Sunday night or Monday morning.

Each member of your family will also be receiving a motivational bracelet to help keep you on track.  (cost will be $2 a person) You will receive them within 2 weeks.  Adults paying to loose need to have their money sent to me by the end of Feb.  You can send me a check or paypal
nathawks@hotmail.com.  The more people we have doing this the more motivated we will all be to loose. Let me know what category you and your family will be participating in and if you have any questions.  We will start on Monday, January 24. 

We would also like everyone to feel free to add healthy recipes at anytime to the blog and tips or tricks of things that are working for you.  Once we know who will be partipating you will be emailed the information to log onto our blog so you may add "posts" of recipes or tips.  We hope that everyone will post, comment and have fun using the blog together.  If you are unsure of how to use any part of the blog contact Melissa and she can give a brief tutorial.  Good luck to each of you!!
